The term “color shift” conventionally describes:
[1] unfaithful color rendition
[2] perceived changes in color resulting from printing errors or
[3] a change in color rendition resulting from environmental or material conditions.
The project [color/shift] by
@there.there.now employs risograph printing as a site to challenge photography’s fixation on accuracy. By embracing the affective possibilities that come from the infidelity of color, color/shift challenges the default models of color rendering dictated by CMYK and RGB color spaces.
